27 febr. Fifth grade have come in second place in this year’s European Chain Reaction
We are very proud to announce that fifth grade, representing Catalonia, have come in second place in this year’s European Chain Reaction.
The European Chain Reaction is a STEM based project that uses the etwinning platform to collaborate with schools throughout the continent. Each country is represented by one school who are given the task of designing and building a chain reaction, inspired by the artist Rube Goldberg. The particpants then share their videos on a blog and vote for their favourite.
This project offers pupils the opportunity to develop many skills including teamwork, hands-on physics, problem solving, precision and patience. It also gives them an insight into the diversity of school life in other countries whilst using English as a vehicular language in a motivational, real-life environment.
Estem molt orgullosos d’anunciar que els alumnes de cinquè de primària, en representació de Catalunya, ha quedat en segon lloc a l’European Chain Reaction d’enguany.
L’European Chain Reaction és un projecte basat en STEM que utilitza la plataforma etwinning per col·laborar amb escoles de tot el continent. Cada país està representat per una escola a qui s’encarrega de dissenyar i construir una reacció en cadena, inspirada en l’artista Rube Goldberg. Els participants comparteixen els seus vídeos en un blog i voten pel seu preferit.
Aquest projecte ofereix als alumnes l’oportunitat de desenvolupar moltes habilitats com el treball en equip, la física pràctica, la resolució de problemes, la precisió i la paciència. També els dona una visió de la diversitat de la vida escolar d’altres països mentre utilitzen l’anglès com a llengua vehicular en un entorn motivador i de la vida real.
